Terms of Service

Last updated: 5 November 2026

The music you make with SynthB is yours. These terms are the agreement between you and the developer of SynthB ("we", "us") for your use of the SynthB app. By installing or using SynthB you accept them. If you do not, please uninstall the app.

The licence

When you buy SynthB on Google Play you get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the app on the devices linked to your Google account, as Google Play allows. The app itself — its code, design, sounds and presets — stays ours. You may not sell, rent, sublicense or redistribute the app, and you may not copy, decompile or reverse-engineer it except where the law of your country lets you do so regardless of these terms.

Your music is yours

Everything you make with SynthB belongs to you: songs, patterns, recordings, LIVE loops, exported WAV files and presets you save. You may use, sell and publish it anywhere, commercially or not, with no royalties and no credit owed to us. We claim no rights in it.

Built-in sounds and presets

The factory presets and the built-in drum and kit sounds may be used freely inside your own music, including commercial releases. What you may not do is redistribute them on their own — as a sample pack, a preset bank or a sound library, free or paid.

Sounds you bring in

If you import audio files, record with the microphone or add your own sample folders, you are responsible for having the right to use that material. SynthB only copies what you choose into its own private storage on your device.

Purchases and refunds

Payment, refunds and family sharing are handled by Google Play under the Google Play Terms of Service and its refund policy. If something is wrong with the app, write to us first — we would rather fix it.

Updates

We may release updates that add, change or remove features. The app works offline and does not need us to keep running; we do not promise any particular update or support period.

Your files and backups

Projects, recordings and samples are stored only on your device, in the app's private storage. We have no copy of them. Uninstalling the app or clearing its data deletes them for good. Export anything you want to keep (WAV export, or Android's own backup), because we cannot recover lost files.

Hearing and equipment

SynthB can produce loud and sudden sounds — resonant filters, feedback in effects, many voices at once. Keep the volume at a safe level, especially with headphones, and protect your speakers and ears.

No warranty

SynthB is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including that the app will be free of errors, interruptions or audio glitches, or fit for a particular purpose. Some countries do not allow these exclusions; there, they apply only as far as the law permits.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses — such as lost work, lost recordings or lost profits — arising from your use of the app, and our total liability is limited to the price you paid for SynthB. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

Open-source components

SynthB includes open-source software, such as Google's Oboe audio library and the Android Jetpack libraries, licensed under the Apache License 2.0. Those components remain under their own licences.

Privacy

SynthB collects no personal data and has no internet permission. See the Privacy Policy.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the new version will be published at this address with a new date at the top. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the new terms.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of the country where the developer of SynthB is established. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in its courts.
